When will Resident Evil village on the iPhone 15 Pro launch?

During the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom officially announced the release date for the survival horror game Resident Evil Village for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad.

The Japanese video game developer Capcom said that the Resident Evil Village would be accessible to iPad and iPhone 15 Pro users starting on October 30 during a game exhibition event in Tokyo.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village mobile ports’ prices were also disclosed by the Japanese video game developer. Although both games are initially free, $59.99 and $39.99 in in-app payments, respectively, are needed to access the complete experiences.

While the Resident Evil 4 Remake is presently accepting pre-orders, it is labelled on the App Store as “Coming Soon – Expected to launch on December 31, 2023.”

Both Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village will offer game controllers, multi-touch, HDR, and other features in addition to on-screen controls.

Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village were highlighted at Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro announcement for those who might not have been paying attention.

The newest iPhone models, the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, are powered by the A17 pro processor, which features a new GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing capabilities. This allows console games to run on the iPhone with performance that is close to that of the console.

The USB-C ports of the iPhone 15 models include integrated DisplyPort capability, allowing these devices to output video at up to 4K/60Hz.

Prior iPhone models with Lightning ports could only use Lightning-to-HDMI or Lightning-to-VGA adapters to reflect video at a quality no higher than 1080p.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake will be coming to macOS and iPadOS devices with an M1 or higher sophisticated version, Capcom officially announced after the Apple presentation.

The iOS and iPadOS versions of Resident Evil Village will be sold separately and are expected to go on sale before Halloween. The macOS version of the game is currently available.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will enable cross-progression on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS thanks to this release’s compatibility with both M1 and M2 iPad models, whereas Resident Evil Village will only support cross-progression on iPadOS and iOS.
