Sony Xperia 1 VI Expected Launch Timeline Ideas; Potentially Making Debut Early Next Year

There are rumours of a Sony Xperia 1 VI in development. Early in the following year, the company’s new “One” series smartphone is anticipated to go on sale. Although the firm hasn’t released any information about its future phone, the device’s limited characteristics and debut date have been online rumours. The phone is anticipated to be released as the Sony Xperia 1 V’s replacement. That device was introduced by the business this year in May. The 6.5-inch OLED display of the Sony Xperia 1 V supports 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR and 120Hz refresh rate.

A user recently made a hint on Reddit that the Japanese phone manufacturer would unveil its next One smartphone at MWC 2024 early the following year. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the Xiaomi 14 Pro are rumoured to be competitors for the smartphone. The post also makes the claim that the alleged device might have a 6x zoom camera and a new, bigger telephoto sensor. Additionally, Sony’s Clear Image Zoom features are probably present.

Additionally, it has been reported that the speculated Sony Xperia 1 VI will be packaged sustainably, possibly with recycled materials. But Sony hasn’t made any announcements about the impending smartphone.

The successor to the Sony Xperia 1 V is the Xperia 1 VI. The latter made its debut with a 6.5-inch OLED screen that supported 240Hz touch sampling, 120Hz refresh rate, and 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The phone has 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM.

The Sony Xperia 1 V has three rear cameras, the main one of which is a 52-megapixel camera with a 1/1.3.5″ sensor, an f/1.9 aperture, and hybrid OIS/EIS capability. Additionally, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with a 3.5–5x optical zoom and a 15.6–X hybrid zoom is available, along with a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. On the front of the phone is a 12-megapixel selfie camera. A 5,000mAh battery with 30W (USB PD) rapid charging powers it.
